Paula & Maren - A Summer Wedding in Ezcaray, La Rioja
Paula and Maren, a Basque couple, chose to celebrate their wedding in Ezcaray, La Rioja, the hometown of Paula’s family. It was a place full of memories and meaning, and the perfect setting for a joyful summer wedding surrounded by friends and family.
The day started with the preparations. Paula got ready at her parents’ home, a place where she had grown up and lived many happy moments. Getting dressed there, surrounded by family, felt especially emotional and intimate.
Maren stayed at Hotel Echaurren, a well-known place in Ezcaray with a strong connection to local gastronomy and tradition. The celebration later took place at La Arboleda del Sur, a restaurant owned by the same family — close friends of Paula’s family — and a space known for its warmth, character, and Michelin-starred cuisine.
Both Paula and Maren got ready in the company of their families, and those quiet moments before the ceremony were filled with closeness, affection, and genuine emotion.
The civil ceremony took place outdoors at La Arboleda del Sur. It was heartfelt, emotional, and deeply personal — one of those ceremonies where every word feels sincere and every reaction is real.
Afterward, the celebration continued well into the night. There was music, laughter, dancing, and an atmosphere of pure joy. The kind of wedding where happiness feels shared by everyone present, and every moment is worth remembering.
